Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2005256589
Kind Code:

Abstract:

To provide a safe anti-theft lock preventing illegal unlocking by picking, thumb-turn turning, or the like.

The inside of outdoor and indoor frames of a vestibule door with only a handle mounted to the right side or left side of the door without a keyhole in the outdoor surface of the door, is provided with a latch bolt 1 energized to project by the repulsion of circular permanent magnets 6a, 6b; a pinion gear 9 meshed with a rack 5 mounted to the latch bolt; two-stage gear mechanisms 10, 14 interlocked with the pinion gear; and a rack 11. A multipolar circular permanent magnet 13 is mounted to the rack 11. When the multipolar permanent magnet corresponding to the circular permanent magnet 13 is brought close to the outdoor surface of the vestibule door, the circular permanent magnet 13 is attracted to put the rack 11 in linear motion, and interlocked with this, the latch bolt recedes to unlock.
