Abstract:

PURPOSE: To increase the safety and permeability of a lipid compsn. by blending a specified amt. of acylgycerophospholipid with specified amts. of monoglyceride of 8-13C medium chain fatty acid, 8-18C satd. fatty acid and bile acids.

CONSTITUTION: A surface active lipid compsn. is prepd. by blending acylglycerophospholipid (A) which is a mixture consisting of ≥10wt.% monoacylglycerophospholipid and the balance essentially diacrylglycero- phospho lipid with monoglyceride (B) of 8-13C medium chain fatty acid and 8-18C satd. fatty acid (C) in ratios satisfying B/A=10/90-95/5, C/B=20/100-250/100 and C/(A+B)=10/100-200/100. In case of (B+C)/A>6, bile acids and/or alkali salts of bile acids are added by 5-100wt.% of the total amt. of the components A, B, C.
