Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety scanner with which it is possible to obtain uniform optical performance with respect to a view angle of 180° or greater.SOLUTION: A safety scanner comprises: an optical rotor 30 for emitting detection light from a light source to a detection area and causing the detection light to scan in the circumferential direction; a light-receiving element for receiving reflected light from an object in the detection area via the optical rotor 30; a housing for accommodating the light-receiving element; and a protective cover 121 for protecting the optical rotor 30. The housing is composed of a canopy part, a bottom part facing the canopy part, and a connection part for connecting the rear end of the canopy part and the rear end of the bottom part. The optical rotor 30 is arranged between the canopy part and the bottom part. The protective cover 121 has a window part for letting the detection light and the reflected light pass through. The cross section of the window part in a plane perpendicular to the revolving shaft of the optical rotor is such that the front side in front of the revolving shaft is a circular arc shape and the rear side behind the revolving shaft is a curved shape curved toward the inside.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
