Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To support a vehicle driver's safe travel by checking the driver's driving ability and his/her health information.SOLUTION: Provided is a safe travel support system in which a server and a plurality of devices are connected via a communication network. The devices, which are installed in a plurality of spots along vehicle traveling routes, comprise: means for measuring a vehicle driver's driving ability and his/her health information; means for storing a driving ability check result and a health information check result; and means for transmitting both results to the server. The server comprises: means for storing the driving ability check result and the health information check result; means for evaluating the vehicle driver's driving riskiness on the basis of the driving ability check result, the health information check result, and evaluation criteria; means for transmitting an evaluation result to the devices; and means for checking whether the vehicle driver's driving riskiness is increasing by comparing the driving ability check result and the health information check result over time. When the vehicle driver is diagnosed as having increased driving riskiness, the diagnostic result is transmitted to the devices.
