Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device allowing a safety brake to be unlocked by a rather small unlocking force.
SOLUTION: This safety brake 13 for the load storage means 2 of an elevator comprises a fixed means 14 capable of displacing relative to the load storage means 2 between two contact portions 17 and 44 installed on the load storage means 2 in the direction of a guide rail 1. The unlocking of the safety brake after a braking process is performed such that the load storage means 2 is moved by a drive device 3 in the direction opposite to the moving direction thereof before the braking process, and thus one of the contact portions installed on the load storage means 2 collides with the fixed means 14 fixedly installed on the guide rail to unlock the fixed means 14.
