PURPOSE: To enhance safety in an automatically controlled heating cooker, by providing a safety timer, which starts counting of time from the time when a heating source starts heating to a material to be cooked, and feeds a signal to let the heating source stop heating after a predetermined time has passed, into a heat controlling means, in a controlling circuit.
CONSTITUTION: A safety timer 12 is built in a control circuit 7. It starts counting from the time when it detects that a cock 2 is opened by a switch 2' which is interlocked with the cock 2. It automatically feeds a closing output signal into a safety valve 3 to actuate it to extinguish a burner 5, if the cock 2 is not closed after a predetermined time has passed. When the cock 2 is closed before the safety timer 12 has counted up the preset time, the safety timer is initialized, and it will start counting newly when the cock is opened again. Possibilities such as cooking failure, scorching and fire hazard caused by continuous heating, can be prevented by the titled safety device.
