PURPOSE: To surely protect radio equipment from theft by providing a mounting case in which the radio equipment can be set at the first position which is the service position and the second position which is the storage position, and moving the radio equipment between two positions through a guide means by an electric and mechanical driving means.

CONSTITUTION: A safety device is provided with a frame body 1 which can be inserted in a panel of an automobile so as to form a mounting case 2 in which a radio equipment 5 can be stored at the first position 3 and the second position 4. The mounting case 2 is provided with a guide groove 8 comprising a first straight part 9, a second curved part 10 and a straight terminal part 11 on its side wall, and a stem 12 fixed to the apparatus 5 is engaged with the guide groove 8. The radio equipment 5 can be moved between the first position 3 and the second position 4 through the drive of a motor 19 by engaging the stem 12 with a groove 14 provided on a connection rod 13 on a drive device side, and integratedly providing the connection rod 13 on gears 15, 16 engaged with a gear train 18 to be driven by the motor 19.
