Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety device for a moving handrail storage part capable of coping when an object advances between an opening of a cover and a moving handrail, while suppressing an occurrence of an abnormal sound.SOLUTION: A safety device 21 for a moving handrail storage part includes a cover 23 for storing a moving handrail 19, and a plurality of switches 25 disposed inside the cover. The plurality of switches are arranged along the width of the moving handrail in a plurality of rows and arranged in an advancing direction of the moving handrail in a plurality of columns. Each of the plurality of switches includes a contact piece having a rollable sphere that comes in contact with the moving handrail, and a sensor part for detecting the movement in a contact and separation direction of the contact piece relative to the moving handrail.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
