To provide a highly safe folding desk capable of preventing a user's hand from being caught between a locking device and the upper face of a beam when operating the device.

The folding desk has the locking device provided on the lower surface of a top panel and pivoted at a latch plate member fixed to the upper end of a support. The locking device allows the top panel to turn to a horizontal state to the upper face of the support or to a vertical state to be raised on the back side of the support. The folding desk also has a cover 41 to always cover a prescribed area of the lower surface of the locking device, on the front of the support 3 from the latch plate member, together with the latch plate ember while the top panel turns between the horizontal state and the vertical state.
