Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety device for a mobile crane capable of functioning an overload prevention device even when outriggers are stored and assuring the safety of a load lifting operation.
SOLUTION: This safety device for a mobile crane is formed so that, based on the information on a lifted load, a boom angle, and a boom length, a rated load in the working condition is calculated and, when the lifted load exceeds the rated load, the boom is not allowed to extend when the lifted load is allowed to be wound up, and the boom is allowed to be lowered and telescoped. An outrigger sensor 14 detecting the status of outriggers 3 is installed and, when the lifted load W0 detected when the outriggers are stored exceeds the rated load W1 when the outriggers 3 are stored, the boom is not allowed to be raised.
