PURPOSE: To store the present position of a window glass by a method wherein the present position of the window glass is written in a ROM which is electrically reprogrammable at a certain lapse of time after a stop command is outputted or after the stoppage of a motor is confirmed.
CONSTITUTION: In a period until a motor 1 to which a stop command is given stops completely, an upper limit value can be determined depending upon the motor 1 output or the operation state. Therefore, at a certain lapse of time after the command to the motor 1 is switched from the operation command to the stop command or after the stoppage of the motor 1 is confirmed, the present position of a window glass is written in a ROM5 which is electrically reprogrammable. When a power supply voltage is dropped to a value lower than a required value, if the motor 1 is in operation, the stop command is immediately given to the motor 1 and, at a certain lapse of time after the command or after the stoppage of the motor 1 is confirmed, the present position of a window glass is written in a ROM5 which is electrically reprogrammable. Or, if the motor 1 is in a stop state at that time, the present position of a window glass is written in a ROM5 which is electrically reprogrammable.
