Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety device of a passenger conveyor enabling accurate adjustment of an operation point of a microswitch by a simple work.SOLUTION: A safety device of a passenger conveyor includes: a microswitch fixed and disposed on a frame side on a rear side of a skirt guard panel provided to face a side surface of a foot step configuring the passenger conveyor; and a detection element provided to project from a body of the microswitch so as to detect contact or separation of the skirt guard panel and turn on/off a switch contact provided in the body. The safety device is configured to detect bending of the skirt guard panel and stop the operation of the passenger conveyor when the skirt guard panel comes into contact with the detection element. In the safety device, a rotary switch for adjusting a projecting length of the detection element to the outside is provided on the body surface of the microswitch, and a gap between the detection element and the skirt guard panel is configured to be finely adjustable.
