This safety device is provided with a straight operation pole 3, a head 5 rotatably provided at the tip of the operation pole 3, a plurality of relay poles 6 detachably and sequentially connected to the operation pole 3, the hook 2 freely adjusting the front/rear and height positions and the direction relatively to the head 5, a raising/lowering roller 12 rolling on a roof face, a cam-like roller 17 connected to the tip of the operation pole 3, projecting from the lower part of the head 5 by the rotating operation, floating the raising/lowering roller 12 and laterally moving the head 5, and a raising/lowering rope 4 having the tip connected to the attachment base of the hook 2.
