To provide a safety device generating no change in guard safety function even if a body moves slightly largely and capable of keeping the interval between the surface of the body and a guard member to a predetermined value or less.
The safety device is provided on the draw-in side of the draw-in nip formed between rotary bodies displaceable in the center of rotation and equipped with the guard member 40 provided at a position approaching the outer peripheral surfaces of the rotary bodies in a displaceable manner and guard member displacing means 1, 2 and 3 provided between the rotary bodies and the guard member to displace the guard member accompanied by the movement of the centers of rotation of the rotary bodies. The intervals between the rotary bodies and the guard member are made almost constant regardless of the movement of the centers of rotation of the rotary bodies.
