Abstract:
To provide a safety device capable of suppressing a delay behind a determination on a light shield state when detection light is blocked.SOLUTION: A safety device 50 has: a light projector 60 which emits composite detection light Ld composed of first detection light Ld1 and second detection light Ld2 differing in light wavelength from each other; a light receiver 80 which receives the composite detection light Ld and decomposes the composite detection light Ld according to the light wavelength to detect the first detection light Ld1 and second detection light Ld2; and a determination part which determines a light reception state or light blocking state based upon the detection result of the light receiver 80. The first detection light Ld1 and second detection light Ld2 each switches between a light projection period in which the light is emitted and a non-light-projection period in which the light is not projected. A projection period of the second detection light Ld2 overlaps with at least a part of a non-light-projection period of the first detection light Ld1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
