Title:
SAFETY KNIFE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3036695
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the stabbing of a blade body 1 and the ripping at the front end of a blade infeasible and to prevent an injury accident from happening by forming the front end in the longitudinal direction of the single edges blade body as a dull part which is perpendicular to the longitudinal direction and is slightly broader than the blade width at the front end of the blade body and unsharpening the end in the dull part on the blade edge side.
SOLUTION: A dull part 2 which is perpendicular to the longitudinal direction and is slightly broader than the blade width at the front end of the blade body 1 is formed at the front end in the longitudinal direction of the blade body 1 of the safety knife which is pivotally supported freely rotatably around a pivot shaft 4 in a handle part 3 and is adapted with the single edge blade body 1 so as to be housed in this handle part 3 at the time of nonuse. This dull part 2 is rounded dull in the portion of the lower part connecting to the blade 1a in the front part as well and the entire part of the dull part 2 is formed unsharply. In addition, the middle part of the blade 1a of the blade body 1 is slightly bulged to make objects easily cuttable in this portion. A teacher is able to safely meet and guide students and children on an education site.
