To provide a safety light for a person, such as pedestrian (for example, elderly person, handicapped person, and child), security guard, or police officer, to allow drivers of vehicles around the person to easily notice the presence of the person.

The safety light in the invention includes: a main body including light emitting means; and mounting means to mount the main body on the head of a user such that the light from the light emitting means is directed laterally outward from the user's head. The safety light is further provided with loudspeaker means including a microphone to collect ambient sounds, an electronic circuit to amplify the collected sounds, and a speaker to output the amplified sounds. The loudspeaker means is provided such that the sounds output from the speaker are directed toward an ear of the user.
