PURPOSE: To provide a safety seat for an infant which can be accommodated on a seat of a common passenger car, can be utilized also as baby car, obviating the necessity of transferring the infant, has the simple structure and can be easily operated.

CONSTITUTION: A safety seat for an infant is equipped with a seat body 1 having seat belts 13a and 13b, front wheels 21a and 21b and a rear wheel 25 which are axially supported at the lower end, and front legs 23a and 23b and rear legs 27a and 27b which constitute an opening/closing type leg structure body 20 in the combination in X shape. The upper end of the rear leg is engaged with the side part of the seat body 11, and the upper end of the front leg is fitted in a turnable manner with a guide groove 31 formed on the side part of the seat body 11, and the upper end of the front leg forms a handle 29 for the opening/closing operation of the opening/closing type structure body 20.
