To provide a safety switch which can be made in a simple and cost-effective method and has a protective locking function enabling an installation with a wide tolerance.
The safety switch 16 generates an enable signal as a function regarding a position of the movable protection door. The safety switch is provided with a door part 17 and a frame part 18. The door part 17 has an activator 40 which is movable between a first position and a second position. The frame part 18 has a notched part 50 which can be combined with the activator 40 when the activator is in the second position. A combining element 52 is provided for combining the activator 40 with the second position. Furthermore, in order for the activator to function to generate an enable signal, a sensor 76, which is designed so that at least one of the positions of the activator 40 may be detected, is provided. As an example, the combining element 52 is fixed on the door part 17.
