To provide a safety switch in which an improved safety is achieved by keeping a switch-gear open, even if an operation rod is damaged or an operation part is damaged or falls down.
A movable contact point 39a of a switch-gear 39 is energized in an open and separating direction by a coil spring 50 against a fixed contact point 39b. By a rotation of a driving cum 15 caused by an actuator 3 entering into an operation part, a connecting part 22 moves alongside a guide groove while resisting against an energized force of the coil spring 50, and an operation rod 21 shifts and the switch-gear 39 is switched to a closed status. As a result, since the operation rod 21 is energized downward by the coil spring 50 and the movable contact point 39a is energized in an open and separating direction against the fixed contact point 39b, the switch-gear can be kept in an open status even if the operation rod 21 is damaged or the operation part is damaged or falls down, and an improved safety can be achieved.
