Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety umbrella preventing the user of the umbrella from being injured by removing a sharp spring catch.
SOLUTION: This umbrella has a center shaft 1, a skeleton assembly 2 having many top ribs 21, which are fixed by the upper notch 20 of the shaft 1 in a rotatable manner and pulled by many pulling ropes 24 pulled in the upper direction of the shaft 1, and many expansion ribs 22, which are connected in a rotatable manner between the ribs 21 and a runner 23 slidably held by the shaft 1 and form an acute angle between with the shaft 1, and a ball 13 elastically held at the lower part of the shaft 1. Then pulling force generated by the ropes 24 by opening the umbrella is transmitted to each rib 22 and forms upward divided force lifting the ribs 22 along the shaft 1 so as to stably hold the assembly 2 in a state of opening the umbrella. By closing the umbrella, the runner 23 is engaged with the ball 13 so as to stably house the assembly 2 in a folding state.
