Title:
SAFETY VALVE FOR PRESSURIZED SUPERFLUIDITY CRYOSTAT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3892249
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly and easily inspect the opening state of a safety valve in a cryostat even when the pressurized super-fluidity cryostat is not cooled to ordinary operating temperature.
SOLUTION: The opening state of the safety valve 13 provided between a constantly fluid helium tank 2 and a pressurized super-fluidity helium tank 1 is inspected. Electrodes 20 and 22 are provided between the surface of a valve disc 14 forming the safety valve 13 and the surface of a valve seat 15 opposed thereto to measure an electrostatic capacity formed between these electrodes. Thus, a clearance dimension between the valve disc 14 and the valve seat 15 is obtained.
