Abstract:
To provide a sail device of a craft, which reduces weight of a mast while securing necessary strength, a sail motorboat, and a sailing method for the craft.
A sail device 6 of a craft includes a mast 20, a boom 40 that is supported by the mast 20, and a sail 60 that is spread by the boom 40. The mast 20 comprises a truss structure 22. Since the mast 20 comprises the truss structure 22, rigidity of the mast 20 is increased. Thus, the weight of the mast 20 can be reduced while strength against bending moment acting on the mast 20 by making the sail 60 receive a wind is secured.
