A paper money storing part 5A for storing paper money in a laterally erected posture and a coin storing part 5B are formed separatedly in the store box 5. When laterally erected paper money is inserted into the charging port 2, a paper money receiving part 7 carries the paper money in arrow A direction to judge its counterfeit, and at the time of discriminating it as authentic paper money, inputs its amount to a controller 6. After passing the receiving part 7, the paper money is horizontally stacked similarly to the charging state by the horizontal movement of a storing operation part 8 and stored in the paper money storing part 5A.
