Title:
SALT CONTENT JUDGING METHOD OF AGGREGATE, ETC. FOR CONCRETE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6193957
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To check simply the presence or absence of the salt contents of the aggregate for concrete, etc. by mixing a fixed quantity of a sample into the prescribed quantity of purified water and by detecting the discoloration based on a chemical reaction with charging the reagent of a potassium chromate having the prescribed rate, etc.

CONSTITUTION: 50g (Japan Society of Civil Engineers standard) or 125g (Architectural Institute of Japan standard) of dried sea sand is weighed and the sample is mixed with 500ml purified water and with standing still after its shaking the supernatant 100ml is collected in the transparent container 5 of a polystyrene, etc. The reagent liquid A and B consisting of 5% potassium chromate solution or silver nitrate regulated by 1/58.44 are prepared in advance and when the ampoule containing 1ml judging liquid is charged into the container 6 with its cover opened, the test liquid is discolored in yellow. The ampoule containing 10ml judging liquid is similarly charged and stirred 4 well. In case of the test liquid is discolored in red the salt contents are less than the standard value. In case the whole test liquid becomes turbid as in yellow the salt classification of more than the standard value is shown.
