PURPOSE: To provide a sample which is excellent inlinearity of a load displacement distance relation when inspecting cement mortar for compression load, and in processing properties, and precision, by reducing a columnar load sample, having a given slender ratio, by the use of a ductile material such as annealed pure Cu, pure Al, or pure Fe.

CONSTITUTION: A pure copper is annealed at 250W300°C, a pure Al at 250W 500°C, a pure iron at 850W1,000°C, and by the use of those ductile materials, a columnar load sample having a slender ratio (a ratio of a diameter to a length) of 2±0.4, especially 2.0 is produced. The sample is easily processed and formed into a given shape with a high precision, and even if a long time has elapsed after forming, it has no change in a shape, a size, and a nature, a wide displacement distance, an excellent linearity of relation between a load and a displacement, and a wide working load range, and is suitable for a sample (called crushes) which is used in case a compression strength of mortar cement is measured.
