Abstract:
PURPOSE:To cut circular samples at respective centers at a time by pushing a sample holder holding the circular samples between each opposed V-shaped groove of partition faces lengthwise situated along a center line into a guide fixture on a base, and traveling a cutting wheel along the center line. CONSTITUTION:A sample holder 1 holding clad contacts (samples) 31 between respective opposed V-shaped grooves 2 of partition faces 3 located at a center line is pushed in a guide fixture 9, the partition faces are evenly brought close to each other along tapered faces 10 from both the right and left sides, and then the contacts 31 are aligned. And the rear end of the sample holder 1 is inserted into a hole drilled in a guide base 8, locked in position by a positioning pin 13, and a joint pin 14 is inserted into the guide fixture 9 side, thereby the guide fixture 9 is locked in position and integrally formed with the sample holder 1. Further, after a sample holding device 6 is installed on a fixed bed 18, the contacts 31 on the sample holder 1 are cut in their centers at a time by driving an air motor while traveling a cutting unit 16 along a threaded shaft 20.
