Title:
SAMPLE INTRODUCING ASSEMBLY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3624350
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sample introducing assembly for loading a small amount of a sample in an analytic crucible for later analysis.
SOLUTION: A sample introducing system includes a drop chamber 52 which can be sealed and degassed, the drop chamber includes a movable jaw 50 selectively holding the sample in an above position of a conduit communicated with an opened crucible, and the opened crucible 16 receives the sample after the jaw is moved to an open position for releasing the sample. The jaw is operated by a magnetic field. Since the magnetic field can move the jaw in a completely sealed system, introduction of pollutant in the atmosphere can be prevented during movement of the sample dropping jaw between a sample holding position where it is closed and a sample release position where it is opened. By providing a magnetic actuator 86 such as a solenoid for operating the jaw, a sample chamber remains sealed during a sample dropping operation, and influence of pollutant on an analysis result is prevented.
