Abstract:
PURPOSE: To eliminate the need of accurate printing other than in the case that residual toner is diminished, namely, for test printing or the like by saving toner consumption regardless of the residual toner at a toner consumption saving mode, and also to save the toner consumption in the case that toner is saved.
CONSTITUTION: An operator sets a left margin counter 210 so as to keep space from the end of paper before printing. A FIFO memory 203 asynchronously performs writing and reading. A CPU normally writes data stored in a RAM on the FIFO 203 by a few lines. The reading is performed synchronizing with a VCLK. The data read is converted into serial data through a parallel-serial converter 204 to generate 1/4 dot by a 1/4 dot generating circuit 205, 1/2 dot by a 1/2 dot generating circuit 206 and the 3/4 dot by a 3/4 dot generating circuit 207.
