Title:
SAMPLING FREQUENCY CONVERTER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2823751
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a sampling frequency converter of a small-scaled circuit by constituting it of a series circuit constituted of an over sampling filter and a down sampling filter(DSF), and a DSF which multiplies the output of the DSF at the (k)th stage by (m)k+1 times.
CONSTITUTION: Input data sampling-processed by a sampling frequency 48kHz are converted into the data sampling-processed by a sampling frequency 44.1kHz. The sampling frequency is 48kHz×7/5=67.2kHz at the input side of the over sampling filter OSF 13 at the second stage. When the frequency band of the signal is 20kHz, a clearance with the lower limit of a folded component is 47.2-20=27.2kHz. Then, the sampling frequency is 67.2×7/4=117.6kHz at the input side of an OSF 15 at the third state, and the clearance with the folded element is 77.6kHz. Thus, the number of taps of the OSF 15 at the third state is reduced, and the circuit scale is small.
