Abstract:

To provide sand removal equipment for a sand charging trough, which is used for removing sand infilled in the trough, when work for pulling out a cable stored in the sand charging trough, trough repairing work, etc. are performed in a utility tunnel.

This sand removal equipment comprises a hopper tank which is fitted with a sand storage bag in a lower position, and a vacuum cleaner which makes the sand sucked into the hopper tank. The hopper tank is equipped with a suction hose, and the hopper tank and the vacuum cleaner are connected together via a connecting hose. A base end of the suction hose is attached to a suction opening which is provided on one side surface positioned above the hopper tank, and a leading end of the connecting hose is attached to an exhaust opening which is provided on the other side surface positioned above the hopper tank. Additionally, a collision plate is provided between the suction opening and the exhaust opening in the hopper tank.
