Title:
SAND STRIPPER FOR CASTING IN CASTING OPERATION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6133762
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To strip efficiently and concentrically sand from a casting by pressing the casting which is held suspended by a hanger to an inclined oscillation diaphragm and oscillating the casting.

CONSTITUTION: The casting 40 is suspended by the hanger and is conveyed along a guide rail 10. The driving of a driving roller device 7 stops and the casting 40 is stopped when the casting arrives alongside the oscillation diaphragm 24 of a sand stripper 13. A cylinder 19 is then driven to extend a driving rod 20 and a turning member 17a turns counterclockwise around a shaft 29. The member stops at the point of the time when the member turns by a prescribed angle, then the casting 40 contacts in the inclined state with the diaphragm 24. When an oscillating motor is driven, the linear oscillating force is generated to oscillate the diaphragm 24. The casting 40 in contact therewith is also oscillated while being subjected to repetitive impact force. The molding sand sticking to the casting 40 is thereby stripped.
