PURPOSE: To provide sandbox suitable for the aged and the handicapped with which the aged or the handicapped can pleasantly and safely perform rehabilitation and the communication with healthy people can be promoted as well.

CONSTITUTION: Concerning a sandbox 1 suitable for the aged and the handicapped, a protection fence 3 is provided around a sand field 2, handrails 4 for training walking are provided outside and inside this protection fence 3, a graveled road 5 is provided along the inside of the protection fence 3, and further, a water sprinkling device such as a sprinkler 6a or a fountain 6b is provided to sprinkle water onto sand and gravel.
