Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the structure and method of a dual sense amplifier in a RAM type D/A converter(RAMDAC) and to allow the digital inspection of a video path during the period of an inspection.
CONSTITUTION: Two sense amplifiers 403a, 403b in the structure of a dual sense amplifier can individually provide the same output data to both of a color value register 402 capable of easily obtaining color values through data ports 407, 408 and a D/A converter 406 for interfacing with an analog display. In an embodiment, the sense amplifier 403b for providing a color value to a data port interfaced with a CPU is formed by a circuit simpler than that of the sense amplifier 403a to be used for providing a color value to the DAC 406.
