Abstract:
To provide a high accuracy and inexpensive sapphire.
This sapphire is produced by grinding a plane (220) having a C plane in a sapphire ingot 200 at a predetermined angle, grinding a plane including a part of the plane (220) horizontally and also parallel to the growth axis 230 of the ingot to make a reference plane 1, and cutting out a transmission plane at a predetermined angle with the reference plane 1.
