In a strike sound generating device to inform that a crescent lock gets into a locked condition, a latch member kept protruded by an energization member is applied to a handle of a rotation engagement member which rotates to be recessed and pushed in, a strike member is pressed against an energization member, and as a pressed condition of the latch member by the handle is released as locking is completed, the latch member restores to its protruded condition by the energization member, when the strike member collides with a strike receiving piece of a latch case containing the latch member by the energization member to generate a strike sound.
