To provide a drawing type sash window which makes a mesh member stain-resistant by enabling the storage of the mesh member, and which brings about proper usability by bringing the opening/closing of the mesh member into synchronization with that of a sash.
A wire screen device 1 is built in a window frame 4 in which airtight pieces 49 forming an airtight line are provided on the indoor sides of inner and outer sashes 2 and 3, respectively; and a head 43 is provided with travel guide portions 41A and 41B exclusive to movable stiles constituting the wire screen device 1. The wire screen device 1 comprises: wire screen storage cases 5 and 5 which serve as wire screen storage sections arranged on the facing surfaces 40 of the window frame 4, facing sash stiles 20 and 30 of the inner and outer sashes 2 and 3, respectively; movable stiles 6 and 6 which are arranged between the cases 5 and 5 and the sash stiles 20 and 30, respectively, and which can follow the movement of the sash stiles 20 and 30, respectively; and the mesh member 7 which is housed in the wire screen storage cases 5 and 5, and the leading end side of which is attached to the movable stiles 6 and 6.
