PURPOSE: To receive satellite broadcast satisfactorily as moving by measuring the present location of a receiver, calculating the azimuth and angle of a desired satellite, and correcting the beam direction of a plane antenna based on such measurement and calculation.
CONSTITUTION: A present location calculation part 22 measures the present location i.e., latitude, longitude, and the azimuth of the receiver based on data supplied via an antenna 10 for GPS use and a reception part 12. A satellite azimuth and angle calculation part 26 receives data representing a desired reception satellite supplied from a channel selection control part 24 and channel- selected by a user, and calculates the azimuth and angle of the desired satellite at the present location measured by the calculation part 22. An angle correction part 28 detects the inclination of a plane antenna 4 at present based on the azimuth and the angle, and controls the beam direction, and performs the correction of the beam direction of the antenna 4 again so as to let a signal level received via the plane antenna 4 be at the optimum level after a tuner 6 receives broadcast from the desired satellite.
