Abstract:
PURPOSE: To supply power automatically to the satellite broadcast reception system in which one scramble decoder is used in common.
CONSTITUTION: The system is provided with 1st switch means 4, 6 applying on/off control to AC power supply from an AC power supply 1 to a scramble decoder with a control signal and a 2nd switch means 8 changing over selectively a video detection output and a bit stream output from a main body side and other satellite broadcast receiver in response to the presence of a scramble discrimination signal from the main body and giving the selected signal to an input of the scramble decoder. The presence of a video detection output or a bit stream output from other satellite broadcast receiver is discriminated by a signal detection means 16 and an OR circuit 17 ORs the discrimination signal and the scramble discrimination signal from the main body side receiver and its OR output is fed to the 1st switch means 4, 6 as a control signal. Thus, when at least one of the main body side and the other satellite broadcast receiver receives a scramble broadcast, the power is supplied automatically.
