Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To apply a satellite tracking antenna system for satellite tracking control for a small ship by highly accurately acquiring an antenna pointing direction error and a gimbal angular velocity required for predictive control even under rolling and pitching assumed in the small ship.SOLUTION: A satellite tracking antenna system comprises: a gimbal platform installed on a ship; and a satellite tracking antenna mounted on the gimbal platform. A hybrid navigation system is installed in each of the gimbal platform and the satellite tracking antenna. The satellite tracking antenna system further comprises means for acquiring, from each of the hybrid navigation apparatuses, an attitude angle and an attitude angular velocity with respect to an inertia coordinate system, computing an antenna pointing direction error and a gimbal angular velocity from the attitude angle and the attitude angular velocity and feeding them back to the satellite tracking antenna to perform predictive control of an antenna pointing direction.
