PURPOSE: To numerically display the time required for a parabolic antenna to move to a specified position and remaining time on the screen of a monitor.
CONSTITUTION: When a desired satellite is specified by an input part 11, a control part 22 reads satellite position data stored in a first memory part 12 and drives an antenna driving part 13. Accompanying the rotation of the driving part 13, a pulse generation part 14 generates pulses and a counter 15 detects the start and end of the pulses and counts the moving time of the driving part 13. A second memory part 16 stores the time counted by the counter 15 and a timer 17 performs count-down by every one second from the specified time data of the second memory. A character generation part 18 defines the specified data of the memory 16 as 'required time,' defines the count data of the timer 17 as 'standby time', prepares character data and tentatively stores them in a storage part 19. A video signal generation part 20 turns tentatively stored data to video images and displays them at the monitor 21.
