PURPOSE: To damp the vibration of a saw blade by forming an intermittent groove at the saw blade using one roller provided with a plurality of recesses at the outer edge part, out of milling rollers at the time of fixing the circular saw blade between the milling cutting rollers made to butt each other.

CONSTITUTION: At the time of fixing a saw blade 1 between milling cutting rollers 7, 8 get butted against each other, at least one intermittent groove is formed at the saw blade 1 using the roller 7 provided with a plurality of recesses 9 of desired shape at the outer edge part, out of the milling cutting rollers 7, 8. At the time of milling, the flow of material is torn by the dents 9. When the dent 9 is in a nip position, both tooth parts 10 adjacent to this dent 9 deflect the saw blade 1 to the complete roller 8 without the dent. The saw blade 1 is plastically deformed, and excess material can flow into a deflecting point from the dent 9.
