Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique that optimizes a real work feed rate in the sawing process without disposing a sensor for use in a saw machine working area.SOLUTION: A method for controlling a saw machine is characterized in that a saw blade (3) is driven by a frequency converter and relatively moved by an electric feed drive at a variable feed rate. The method is characterized as follows: a real work feed rate is determined previously for initial cutting of a workpiece (2); an instantaneous value of physical quantity relating to a torque transmitted from a saw blade drive unit to the saw blade (3) during initial cutting is found; a maximum torque value in the initial cutting is found; a maximum value (8) of the torque value is determined based on it; and the real work feed rate is controlled such that an instant torque value (6) is used as a control amount (real value) and may be brought to the vicinity of the maximum value (target value) (8) as far as possible, while the instant torque value (6) is maintained constantly with respect to all cutting after the initial cutting of the same workpiece (2).
