Abstract:
To provide a production method of a saw tool that consumes a relatively small amount of abrasive grains.SOLUTION: A production method of a saw tool includes: a particle input step in which a masked base material (530) is housed in a tank (16) in a state of keeping its cutting tooth part (534) upward, and a spherical particle group (21G2) is formed so as to fill the space that is surrounded by a masking tape (6) and the root-side end face (534a) of the cutting tooth part (534) below a position (P1); an abrasive grain input step in which an abrasive grain group (22G) is formed so as to cover the spherical particle group (21G2) and the tip side surface of the cutting tooth part (534) above the position (P1) in the tank (16) after the particle input step; and a plating layer formation step in which the tank (16) that houses the base material (530) after the abrasive grain input step is immersed in a plating solution, and a plating layer is formed on the tip side of the cutting tooth part (534) above the position (P1) with the abrasive grains (22) adhered.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
