Abstract:
PURPOSE:To detect a saw-tooth pitch automatically by counting the number of saw teeth passing through just before a detector at unit time with a signal detecting the presence of the saw tooth, and constituting the saw-tooth pitch so as to be operated from the saw-tooth number and speed. CONSTITUTION:A proximity switch 19 detecting the presence of a band saw tooth 7 is attached to the vicinity of the side of this band saw tooth 7 so as to be fitted in a fixed insert 21, and also there are provided with a counter, counting the number of saw teeth passing through just before this proximity switch 19 and an arithmetic unit operation a saw-tooth pitch from the saw tooth number and speed out of this counter. With suchlike contribution, the saw-tooth pitch of a sawing machine can be automatically detected so that a working property in saw-tooth pitch measuring operation is sharply improvable. In addition, this fact will lead to an inputting miss, so that such effects as prolongation of saw-tooth life, reduction in a cutting bend and so on are securable.
