To provide a sawdust drier, preventing sawdust containing much moisture at the initial stage of drying from entering a sawdust discharge opening to be jammed therein, so that after the end of drying, the dried sawdust can be always smoothly discharged.
A bin 1 for drying sawdust is partitioned into an upper sawdust storing chamber 3 and a lower ventilation chamber 4 by a ventilation floor 2. The bin 1 is cylindrical. A sawdust discharge opening 6 is provided in the central part of the ventilation floor 2. A sawdust discharge auger 10 extending to the vicinity of the inner periphery of the bin 1 is provided taking the sawdust discharge opening 6 side as the center of revolution. A driving source 12 for rotating a rotating spiral body on its axis is provided on the revolution center side of the sawdust discharge auger 10. The tip part of the sawdust discharge auger 10 is provided with a traveling wheel 17 integrated with the rotating spiral body. A cover 15 covering the upside of the sawdust discharge opening 6 to form an opening part 16 in the periphery of the sawdust discharge auger 10 is provided in the central part of the ventilation floor 2.
