PURPOSE: To increase the cutting performance, prolong the duration of a cutting edge and facilitate the saw-setting work by forming the cutting edge of sawtooth to be arc-shaped.

CONSTITUTION: Sawteeth 3 with cutting edges 4 on the upper part of a saw 1 are provided in parallel. The cutting edges 4 are formed to be an arc whose central part c is projected by l in the advancing direction 5 of a saw edge, while the central part c being formed to be another arc projected by m in the cutting direction of the saw, thus the sawteeth 3 being constituted. The part of the cutting edge 4 is easily formed by a rotating grindstone having a cross section shaped u. Since the cutting is started from the point where a material to be cut strikes at an edge tip D projected by l, the cutting-in is commenced at the point, which makes the intrusion of teeth smooth and increases the cutting performance.
