To provide a fitting structure of a handrail member for a scaffold, simplifying fitting, reducing the number of parts, simplifying the structure and reducing the cost.
This invention is provided for the fitting structure of a handrail member in which the handrail member 10 is stretched between a pair of struts 1. The tips of both side pieces 2b, 3b of frame metal fittings 2, 3 U-shaped in a plan view are fixed to the outer peripheral surface of the struts 1, and the intermediate pieces 2a, 3a of the frame metal fittings 2, 3 are held at a space from the outer peripheral surface of the struts. The handrail member 10 has a handrail body 11 and a wedge member 20 at both ends, and the wedge member 20 has a tapered wedge piece 30 gradually decreased in width as it goes downward. Between the frame metal fittings 2, 3, the wedge piece 30 of the handrail member 10 is driven from above in the inside of the outer frame metal fittings 3 mounted sideways to the direction P of the scaffold passage, whereby the wedge piece 30 is fixed with both side edges 32, 33 pressed to the outer peripheral surfaces of the intermediate piece 3a of the frame metal fitting 3 and the struts 1.
