Abstract:
To provide a connector which does not protrude into a workspace.SOLUTION: An expandable connector of this invention is a connector to be used for connection of pipe materials (for example, vertical poles constituting a scaffold) and includes a joint tool, and a pipe holding tool provided on at least one end side of the longer direction of the joint tool in such a manner that its length is adjustable. The joint tool is made of a pipe material with a female screw on an inner circumference thereof. The pipe holding tool includes a shaft part which has a male screw able to be screwed on the female screw of the joint tool on an outer circumference thereof, and a single clamp provided on a tip side of the shaft part. The expandable connector is made as such that by changing the length with which the pipe holding tool is screwed into the joint tool, the length of protrusion from the joint tool is adjusted to expand or contract the entire length to a desired length. The expandable connector can also be structured to include the joint tool with the male screw and the pipe holding tool with the female screw.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
