Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scale inhibitor which has a high calcium scale prevention effect.SOLUTION: A scale inhibitor contains a polymer (A) containing a (meth)acrylic acid (a1) and a (meth)acrylate (a2) as essential constituent monomers and has a neutralization degree (X) of (A) of 95-99%, determined by numerical expression (1): neutralization degree (X)(%)={1-S/(S+T)}×100, where S is the mol number of carboxyl groups in (A); and T is the mol number of carboxylates in (A).
